The front cover has sub-heading e.g. 'Fresher's 2012' and 'Outstanding results nationwide' the colours differ but only from black to pink, this shows the colour scheme is black and pink.
The cover also has rhetorical question that you may need answers to which makes you want to read the magazine. This in my opinion is a god example of a font cover magazine as thee are many sub-headings which will real the reader in, has a suitable image for the subject and a suitable title, the colour scheme is nice and appealing. The only thing I do no like about this front cover is that the layout and background image make I seem really cluttered and busy to the eye.
I find this in my opinion a much better front cover than the one above. I like the colour scheme and font very much as it is appealing to the eye. The medium close up of the student looks like it has been taken in a studio or against a white background I like this as it does not look cluttered or too busy. I find the fact that they have used the same colour jacket as the box at the bottom quite a good idea as it links everything in and shows they have stuck to their colour scheme of black, pink and orange.
This front cover also has sub-headings e.g. 'win free gig tickets here' which is very intriguing and wanting people to read more as this is aimed at the correct audience of teenagers who attend college and most like to attend gig or concerts.
